About the Role:
- Install, assemble, and align conveyor systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure the proper layout and positioning of conveyor components, including belts, rollers, pulley and supports.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with conveyor systems.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks to address breakdowns and ensure continuous operation.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols during all installation activities.
- Implement safety measures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
- Conduct quality checks to verify the precision and accuracy of conveyor system installations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with other team members, engineers, and project managers to facilitate efficient project execution.
- Provide input and feedback during project planning and design stages.
- Properly use and maintain hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment required for conveyor system installation.
- Adapt to changes in project scope, schedule, or priorities as necessary.
- Work efficiently in diverse industrial settings and conditions.
- Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including engineers, supervisors, and other team members.
- Report progress, issues, and solutions in a clear and timely manner.
Skills & Requirements:
- Trade Certificate / Qualifications in Mechanical Fitting
- Proven ability to lead, manage and complete jobs/projects in a set period.
- Proven track record of managing and maintaining a fast-paced pace environment.
- Have knowledge related to the safe transportation of tools, materials, and workpieces in and around work areas.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a clear understanding of safe Work, Health, Environment & Safety practices.
- Previous hands-on experience in a similar role.
- Experienced in Hydraulics & Automation are ideal.
- Experienced Fitter/Tool Maker
- Mechanical, Mechatronics, and Control systems commissioning, servicing, and repairs
