About the Role
TEAM is recruiting for a qualified Security Technician / Installation Technician to join one of our top clients. Ideally, candidate will have been in a Leading Hand or Supervisor position and wanting to progress to the next step. For the right candidate, this role has the potential to lead you to becoming the State manager for the company and take your career way beyond the next level.
This position is based at the company office with the candidate travelling to various locations and will therefore include a company vehicle (with all related expenses paid including road tolls), mobile phone, uniform (including PPE), and best of all, a positive team-based work culture in a family-owned business with strong opportunities for advancement within the company.
Days: Mon – Fri
Start time: 7:30am
Hours: 8-10 hr. shifts
Location: ACT, Canberra based.
Essential Criteria (Must have the following to be eligible for this role)
- Full Australian Citizen
- Relevant qualification
- Experience as a Security Technician / Installation Technician
- Current Manual Drivers Licence
- Current NV-1 Clearance (or ability to pass stringent criminal history check)
- MINIMUM of 5 years’ experience in installation of high-end security systems and maintenance of them.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ability to install and program security and access control systems.
- Fault identification, isolation, repair, and reporting on systems installed, and managed by the Client.
- Sound skills in electronic data and documentation management.
- Strong ability to perform cabling, fit off (including panels) and commissioning of electronic security systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong attention to detail/situational awareness.
- Ability to perform basic ICT networking.
- Strong ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
