Our Opportunity Work Location: Gladstone (QLD) or Brisbane (QLD) Roster: Monday to Friday Fortescue is seeking a Senior Instruments and Controls Engineer to join the exciting and energetic Fortescue Hydrogen Systems (FHS) team. FHS is leading Fortescue’s development portfolio of hydrogen products centred on the production of renewable hydrogen. FHS has made the Final Investment Decision to build PEM50, a 50MW green hydrogen facility in Gladstone, Queensland, utilising Fortescue’s own electrolyser technology. PEM50 is both a standalone plant, and a product that can be replicated for large scale hydrogen facilities. Reporting to the Manager - Engineering, the Senior Instrument and Controls Engineer is responsible for the instrumentation, control systems and telecommunications engineering, technical design and interfaces across the PEM50 green hydrogen plant, providing guidance on instrumentation and control system equipment selection, technical assurance, risk assessments and supporting progress through various phases of project development. Following the completion of the project, the Senior Instrument and Controls Engineer will continue as an ongoing role in support of PEM50 as an asset and product, and its deployment to customers, as well as managing other Original Equipment Manufacturer I&C activity.
