You will be client focused and dedicated to the successful delivery of projects. Your role will focus on building and maintaining client engagements, intimately involved with innovative designs of industrial HV and LV power systems and either experience or genuine interest in the design of industrial control and instrumentation systems.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Client facing role, with occasional site trips
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors
- Estimation/Quoting
- Facilitation of Design & SiD Workshops / Safety Risk Assessments
- Design of HV / LV Electrical systems including Switchboards, MCC’s, power reticulation, PLC panels and control panels
- Electrical design calculations
- Harmonic mitigation and Power factor correction
- Writing detailed Electrical Design Reports
- Preparing installation work packs
- Developing electrical design specifications
- Equipment and instrument specifications
- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) / Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Commissioning
Essential requirements for this role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- HV (secondary) and LV power system design
- Industrial Control system design
- AS4024 Machine Safety
- RPEQ certification
Other Desirable skills:
- Hazardous Area design
- TUV Functional Machine Safety
- Industrial Automation experience
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Significant experience in industrial Electrical Engineering (5 - 10 years)
- Experience in industrial Control and Instrumentation systems
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail.
- Experience with electrical design software (etap / PowerCAD).
- Thorough knowledge of Electrical design calculations in Harmonics, Arc Flash Assessments, Generator sizing, Power reticulation, Protection systems etc.
- Estimation, quoting & tendering experience.
- Technical documentation preparation.
- Excellent working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
- Possess some knowledge and experience with commonly used supplier equipment.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Ability to drive project outcomes proactively
- Ability to clearly communicate with other staff and customers.
- The ability to work autonomously
