Clough is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 development, near Dongara, Western Australia. The Waitsia Stage 2 project includes a new 250 TJ/day gas processing plant with a 20-year life-cycle that will convey gas via the nearby Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.
Rewarding opportunities exist for experienced Instrument Fitters to join the Waitsia Project. Working on a 20&8 roster (bus-in/bus-out from Perth, or DIDO from Dongara), the role will involve the following:
Who you are:
Your role will include:
- Ability to read Install and Hook up drawings to understand potential fall rates and install details required
- Install instrumentation S/Steel tubing in Hazardous/Non-hazardous Areas
- Carry out testing of instrument lines as per site requirements.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary tubing including Stainless Steel tube
- Capable of using test equipment such as LEL/H2S gas calibration kits, UV/IR torches, etc.
- Assemble, mount, and install control panels, instruments, and sensing devices.
- Installation of instrument tubing of various sizes ranging from ¼ inch to 1 inch.
- Installation of tubing on various systems including nutrient supply lines, to support Construction activities. Tubing may be detailed on isometrics drawings, or site run.
- Assist pre-commissioning and commissioning operations where required for leak and pressure testing of tubing systems.
- Execute work by following comprehensive procedures in conjunction with adhering to work instructions laid down in work packs and job cards.
- Complete Inspection and Test Records (ITR's).
- Actively participate in the Incident and Injury Free program and conduct work in accordance with the Incident and Injury Free principles.
- Execute work in line with Management System requirements.
- Any other duties as directed by the Leading Hand or Supervisor - Electrical/Instrumentation.
