About the role
Applications are invited from motivated individuals to join our dedicated Operating Suite / CSSD team. This casual position is available immediately, includes working Monday to Friday, rostered on a mix of early and late shifts. This role involves receiving, sorting, decontamination and reprocessing of all re-usable medical and surgical instruments and equipment under the direction and supervision of the CSSD Nurse Unit Manager.
Skills and experience
Essential:
- Completed / willingness to complete Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and independently.
- Strong time management and problem solving skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional and educational development
- Sound computer literacy skills and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate reports.
- Ability to operate with flexibility in an environment of change.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Desirable:
- Previous work experience in CSSD or Operating Theatre environment
- Practical knowledge of AS 4187:2014
