About the Role
Ausnorth Building & Construction are a respected Queensland based construction company delivering a range of exceptional services to Clients in the insurance sector across multiple states. Following consistent growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator / Supervisor to join us in the leadership role of Area Manager Cairns.
As the Area Manager you'll be a big part of the wider Regional QLD repair team. You'll be responsible for attending sites, preparing site reports and quotations.
You will work closely with a dedicated project administrator & internal trade network.
The role comes with a great work / life balance with the flexibility to work from home / office as well as attending multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct onsite assessments of insured properties to determine damage
- Identify the difference between insurance related damage and maintenance
- Create detailed and accurate assessment reports, scopes of works and quotes
- Work closely with the project administration team
- Ensure all work conforms to legislative and contractual requirements
About You
You will be an experienced Estimator / Supervisor who is a self-motivated team player with a positive can-do attitude who enjoys working autonomously.
Important to team success will be your out-going personality & team-orientated attitude.
The successful applicant will possess:

- Be familiar with OHS practices, legislation and regulations
- An eye for detail and quality
- A positive "can do" work ethic
- Computer literate with knowledge in the use of Outlook & Word.
- Current and valid driver's licence
