About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Intake and Retention Officer (Business Development) to join our fantastic team.
The Intake and Retention Officer reports to the Manager Business, Client Services and is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end intake process for new SIL clients as well as focusing on the retention of existing clients.
Key Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:
- Attend networking events to connect with support coordinators and identify potential new clients.
- End to end intake process for new clients, including managing all new and existing enquiries, client matching and the review of funding and ROC’s to ensure effective home and living situations.
- Advertising and managing house vacancies to ensure appropriate client matching.
- Strategically identifying new housing opportunities for clients, working with them and decision makers to transition.
- Overseeing the execution, maintenance and signed returns of documents such as Service Agreements, Tenancy Agreements, Renewals, Restrictive Practice reports and all other documentation relevant to intake.
- Promoting Lighthouse Disability by building strong relationships with external stakeholders to attract new referrals within our SIL program.
- Seeking out new business opportunities for Lighthouse Disability.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- NDIS sales, client relationship or Business Development experience is an essential requirement.
- Experience in delivering an intake service with associated skills in the provision of assessments and other intake functions.
- Experience working with vulnerable people and knowledge of the implications of varying levels of disability.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with our NDIS participants and their families.
- Experience liaising with internal/external stakeholders such as Support Coordinators, families/guardians, allied health professionals.
- Demonstrated understanding of NDIS plans and service agreements.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, including report writing.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Highly developed communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, clients and families.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving ability.
