About the role
The Integrated Family Services Case Worker will be responsible for addressing protective concerns and enhancing family functioning whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the child/children, young people, and family members effective care planning, case practice and ongoing assessment and liaison. The role will manage risk according to the "Best Interests" framework and liaise effectively with the Western Integrated Family Services Alliance in support of a productive partnership model.

Your duties include:
- Recognise and respond to intersecting factors of socioeconomic status, culture, geography, age, disability, sexuality, and gender identity, which impact on the experience of families
- Work with families toward desired change, through direct case practice using a child-focused, family-centred approach
- Undertake case coordination responsibilities, where appropriate
- Utilize a full range of outreach strategies in order to engage with families who may be reluctant to use the service
- Use a goal directed approach in full consultation with family members including a regular review process

Our ideal candidate:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications related to Social Work, Psychology, or a similar field
- Proof of qualification to be sighted
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively with people who may have a range of complex needs.
- Demonstrated understanding of childhood development and how trauma, abuse or neglect can impact child development.
- Demonstrated capacity to understand risk, conduct risk assessments and safety planning.
- A well-developed capacity for family assessment, intervention skills as well as the development of care plans in conjunction with the family
All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Statutory Declaration, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
