Specialist police investigators, counsellors and child safety officers are co-located to provide support based on the choice of the victim- survivor and in accordance with legislation.Family and Sexual Violence Command has teams statewide comprising specialist investigators and intelligence analysts.Intelligence Analysts are a critical component within investigative teams whose objective is achieving strong outcomes in matters that are sensitive and can be complex, fast-paced and dynamic. All staff are trained in trauma-informed practice.This is an exciting opportunity to hold a newly created position and to be part of a brand new initiative to provide improved support to victim-survivors in Tasmania.Essential RequirementsPre-Employment ChecksThe Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment. Such offences would include, but are not limited to:
- Arson and fire setting;
- Sexual offences;
- Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
- Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
- Making false declarations;
- Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
- Malicious damage and destruction to property
- Trafficking of narcotic substance;
- False alarm raising.
- Completion of a relevant tertiary degree
