Qualifications & experience
- Ideally 3 or more years experience in an Australian public practice firm
- Xero and MYOB experience preferred
- Sage Handisoft & BGL experience preferred
- CPA or CA qualification is desirable
- University accounting degree or similar completed
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with team members
- Excellent communication skills with clients
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist with managing a portfolio of clients and building relationships
- Preparing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS / IAS, payroll tax and FBT for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSF’s
- Managing workflow and working efficiently with other team members
- Identifying potential tax / non-compliance issues and working out the most effective ways to resolve them
- Assisting with tax planning and business advice to clients
- Reporting to the Senior Manager and Director
