Qualifications & experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or commerce (required).
- At least two years’ previous experience in a similar role (required).
- CPA or CA accreditation (desirable).
- Proficient in Excel, Xero and MS365 (required).
- Xero certified advisor and/or Xero payroll certified (desirable).
- Leadership experience or skills with ambition to lead (desirable).
- A solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and concepts.
- Proven experience in managing multiple clients and businesses.
- Excellent time management skills.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide high-level accounting, tax and general financial guidance to business owners and managers regarding their current tax and financial position.
- Provide transformative strategies that ensure our clients achieve their personal and business goals through maximum tax savings, continued increased profits, and sound advice and guidance.
- Use strong analytical skills to analyse financial data, identify trends, perform variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to support clients to grow their businesses (financially) and draw conclusions from their financial reporting.
- Conduct informative, energising, and simplistic meetings with clients (if engaged) and ensure clear and concise instructions are provided at the end of each session.
- Oversee a client caseload weekly and ensure all deliverables and tasks are completed within company timeframes.
- Communicate with all divisions of the business (financial planning, the elite builder, etc) regarding mutual clients to ensure shared strategies and combined goal achievement.
- Identify process improvement opportunities by analysing existing accounting practices and assist with developing innovative solutions to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Continually identify future opportunities for clients and/or Strategiq Advisory during meetings about unmet client needs.
- Remain up to date with relevant accounting standards, regulations, industry best practices and strategy updates by government and/or in the business sector in general to ensure that all advice is accurate and current.
