Reporting into the Head of Risk & Audit this person will be responsible for running the Internal Audit function for a leading Financial Institution in Australia.
The Internal Audit lead is responsible for the following key activities but not limited to:
- Development of a risk-based audit plans each year that covers the key strategic and operational risks within area of responsibility.
- Delivery of the audit activity within the Audit Plan as it relates to their area of accountability to the required Institute of Internal Auditor standard.
- Manage the Internal Audit relationships with key executives across the Business Banking and Corporate Support functions.
- Working across operational and technology audits.
- Senior stakeholder engagement (Board Reporting).
- Experience in a commercially focused Internal Audit role within a financial institution or Big 4 Consulting firm.
- Across end to end audit.
- within a 'Big 4' or mid-tier international chartered firm, or a Financial Services business
- an excellent knowledge of internal controls frameworks in an audit context
- Business Partnering skills.
- Ability to lead & work Autonomously.
