Due to continuous growth, HenderCare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Auditor to join our team! Working with relative autonomy, you will ensure HenderCare meets its compliance obligations across all operational frameworks by conducting ad hoc and scheduled internal audits.

The Internal Auditor will support the Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance in partnering with external stakeholders during audits to ensure compliance with existing measures. As part of this position, you will also support technical writing through business analysis, reports, and policy and procedure writing.

Some other responsibilities will include:

• Perform comprehensive ad hoc and scheduled internal audits to assess compliance with regulatory frameworks and organisational policies.
• Collaborate with various departments within HenderCare to gather necessary information, provide guidance, and support compliance initiatives.
• Assist the Head of GRC in engaging with external stakeholders, conducting audits, ensuring smooth audit procedures, and maintaining compliance with established measures.
• Support business analysis activities, tender writing, and contribute to the creation of reports, policies, and procedures to uphold compliance standards.
• Monitor and track compliance measures, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions as needed to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Participate in refining internal audit methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

As the Internal Auditor, you must have proven experience in internal auditing and compliance, preferably within the healthcare sector. You will also need a strong understanding of organisational practices and regulatory frameworks, such as ISO, Aged Care, and NDIS standards. 

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
• Proficiency in technical writing with experience in drafting reports, policies, and procedures.
• Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail to identify compliance gaps and propose solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field will be advantageous.
