APRA AMCOS is a member-owned music rights management organisation, positioned at the intersection of music, data and technology. We have more than 119,000 members who are songwriters, composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play, perform, copy or record our members’ music, and we distribute the royalties to our members.
The International Payments team plays a critical role in ensuring our ongoing success in member retention, through delivering exceptional data processing services in the form of accurately matched records, delivered in the shortest possible timeframe once received. We are responsible for ensuring integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of APRA AMCOS’s royalty payments to members, affiliate societies and other partner organisations.
We are seeking an International Payments Data Analyst to ensure both the reconciliation and processing functions of the team are supported through analysis of distribution data, revision of workflows and processes, and delivery of enhanced reporting relating to the team’s progress and overall performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Receive and reconcile distributions from affiliate societies and maintain a record of all incoming data and payments for tracking and reporting purposes
- Prepare and load international distribution data into systems for processing and analysis
- Provide guidance and support to management in determining the most effective way to manage certain distributions and data sets for optimal accuracy and efficiency
- Perform or facilitate any off-system data manipulation required to achieve the desired results
- Regularly review existing processes to recommend and/or implement improvements
- Develop and maintain dashboards that track progress and provide insights into reporting and processing trends
- Create and update sales orders and invoices for incoming society payments to APRA and AMCOS
To thrive in this role you will need:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other tools used to manipulate and present large data sets
- Ability to access, query and export data stored in various internal databases using SQL and basic Python or Java scripts
- Excellent numerical, analytical and decision-making skills
