What will the role involve?
In this role you will be doing a range of different things, if we were to give a “snapshot”, the role would look like, reporting to and supporting our Inventory Coordinator in;
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory within our DEAR Inventory management system or any future inventory or EPR system the business may wish to implement.
- Coordinate with key team in a timely manner to either provide created production orders for team to start the production process, and/or receive back completed production orders to be entered accurately into our system within specified deadlines.
Down the track, as further support is needed for our Inventory Coordinator, you will:
- Support in maintaining inventory master file details and Bill of Material maintenance, including addition of new products and materials.
- Aid in reviewing sales volumes to budget and collaborate with the sales team to plan inventory demand requirements to create future production schedules for the production teams.
- Assist in managing inventory levels in line with company requirements and targets.
- Assist in converting production plans to raw material/packaging demand plans for the purchasing officer to coordinate material requirements.
- Participate in ensuring stock accuracy by conducting stock counts on a cyclic and regular basis.
- Collaborate in reconciling and investigating stock variations. Assist in developing remediation plans to avoid future stock losses.
- Support in ensuring daily production schedule adherence and providing production updates.
- Conduct QA checks on inventory as required, including batch accuracy and shelf-life date rotation.
- Assist in ensuring onsite inventory storage and handling is in line with the business WHS & Food Safety requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
What we are looking for:
- 2 years of experience in Inventory Administration and principles (desirable)
- Experience using DEAR, experience using ERP systems, inventory or warehouse management systems (desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Works well in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Intermediate user proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly EXCEL with strong numeracy skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
