About your new role…
An exciting opportunity has become available in our Equipment Service Team (EQS) for an Inventory Controller. This role will see you play a key part within the wider inventory team and be working closely with the EQS national and state teams to ensure sourcing, capacity and storage strategies are executed perfectly. What you will be doing…
- Control inventory stock levels, counting accurately and investigate discrepancies ensuring remediations are executed where required and redundant/obsolete materials are removed in a timely fashion.
- Perform proactive material purchasing and supplier engagement to mitigate all out of stock risks.
- Maintain and manage the inventory of materials, which include locations, profiles and associated master data.
- Account for the receipt of new items and returns and input essential data on all products, while adhering to strict accounting and auditing procedures.
- Manage and control inventory risks that potentially could create operational and financial impacts.
- Ensure inward materials and returned and warranty materials are received and managed according to the company’s standard procedure and to ensure material availability is prioritised.
- Coordinate and perform regular cycle counts and assist in conducting yearly physical inventory counts.
- Create daily/weekly reports to control the key critical areas of the stock system and address any discrepancy.
- Liaise with the Distribution team to ensure all space, capacity and fulfillment strategies are executed perfectly.
Let’s talk about you…
- At least 3 years previous experience in FMCG or similar industry controlling inventory or purchasing.
- Understanding of material requirements planning (MRP) and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
- Business Systems Aptitude – WMS, Planning (APO), SAP ECC.
- Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Business administration and personal organisation skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with other team members and third-party suppliers.
