The Role:
In this role you will be tasked with ensuring the accuracy of inventory management system transactions across warehouse locations within Australia and New Zealand.
To be successful in this role you must have exceptional organisational skills and high attention to detail to ensure that transactions and inventory levels are managed in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures.
You will be working in collaboration with the sales, customer experience and 3PL warehouse teams to ensure the timely and accurate execution of all required tasks.
Duties include but aren’t limited to:
- Ensure strong working relationship with warehouse and sales teams based on clear communication and accountability
- Responsible for planning and executing a full, annual stock take in adherence with prescribed governance requirements.
- Liaise with the warehouse and 3PL teams in the management and scheduling of regular cycle counting across all locations.
- Monitor and resolve any identified shrinkage outside the normal cycle count and stock take process.
- Use accurate reporting to ensure inventory records are consistently updated, outlined, and execute any resulting actions to prevent any further shrinkage
- Ensure that all returned goods transactions are executed in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Confirm that any products requiring write-off and disposal are managed in line with approved level of authorisation.
- Appropriately manage and organise levels of second stock to ensure levels are accurate and appropriately graded and provide clear visibility to the sales team in support of regular sell-through
- Assist in the continuous evaluation and improvement of policies and procedures.
- Confirm that the storage and handling of inventory is in adherence to safety regulations and guidelines
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Australia and/or New Zealand market
- Tertiary qualifications in purchasing, logistics or inventory management would be highly desirable
- Experience in analysing data, solving problems and investigating any variances or inaccuracies and implementing appropriate changes
- Strong experience using Inventory Management Systems and MS Office Skills (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Exceptional organisational, communication (verbal and written) skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Experience with process improvement and documentation would be highly regarded.
