About the role
Viterra is seeking a proactive and self-motivated, permanent full time Inventory Controller to join our team. In the role of Inventory Controller, you will coordinate and monitor the inward and outward movements of commodities for both domestic and export customers across the Eyre Peninsula. You will be responsible for coordinating inventory control, quality management and oversee pest control management across the region.
Duties include, but are not limited to
- Ensuring all stocks are accumulated and efficiently meet client export demands
- Developing and implementing safe storage solutions and strategies
- Proving input into the execution of logistics and fumigation plans
- Responsible for effective leadership and guidance to operational personnel
- Oversee and, where necessary, drive the operational team to ensure that all work is successfully completed within the customers (both internal and external) recommended timeframes.
- Maintain effective and mutually beneficial relationship with external stakeholders
- Overall responsibility for the quality assurance budget
- Financial reporting as required
- Capital expenditure and project management as required
About you
- Qualifications in business or logistics, desirable
- Demonstrated experience in logistics, transport or shipping industries
- Knowledge of the grain industry, desirable
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment and proactively manage stakeholders and conflicting priorities
