At The Star Entertainment Group, we aim to be Australia’s leading integrated resort company. Our mission is to create fun and memorable experiences for the millions of guests we welcome each year at our trusted destinations.

Our properties across Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast are world-class with many award-winning hotels, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.

The Star Entertainment Group (TSEG) is an ASX-listed company committed to supporting the communities in which we operate. TSEG will achieve this by leading with integrity and values to enable us to provide entertainment, gaming, and leisure experiences safely, responsibly, and ethically.

As our Investigations Analyst, reporting to the Investigations Operations Manager, you will analyse casino data to assist investigations, recommend actions, and support law enforcement, as well as develop and deliver investigations reporting.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will bring fresh ideas and a new way of classifying data.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Investigations Case Management Database for the collection and dissemination of intelligence information.
  • Respond to Law Enforcement queries by retrieving and providing, and in some cases interpreting the requested information within designated timeframes.
  • Research, collate, interpret, analyse, and report data and statistics on casino patrons and illegal and undesirable activity.
  • Proactively identify and report on illegal and undesirable activity including undertaking data analysis to identify possible targets for referral for further investigation and consulting with Investigators in relation to proactively identified targets.
  • Ensure activities comply with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, legal demands, and professional and ethical standards.

What we are looking for:

  • Appropriate qualifications in research or analysis.
  • Highly developed communication, research, and analytical skills.
  • Well-developed level of computer literacy and the use of databases.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines, with limited supervision.

About you:

You are a recently qualified data analyst ready to step up into a permanent corporate analyst role. You have both strong data analytics and strong administration skills and can work independently with minimum supervision. You have the capacity to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the investigation team’s compliance with The Star Entertainment Group Code of Conduct, all internal policies and procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.

What we can offer you:

  • Complimentary meal on site every day including hot meals, sandwich bar and more.
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Discounted parking available in the city
  • Up to 30% discounts across award winning restaurants and accommodation
  • Diversity & Inclusion areas of focus including Multicultural, Gender, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander and LGBTQI+
  • Paid training, ongoing career development opportunities
  • Opportunity to work with elite professionals and assets.

Please be aware that eligibility checks are required as part of the recruitment process and ongoing employment for this position.
