About the job
The Infrastructure, Planning & Strategy team's Investigations and Regulatory Specialist spearheads regulatory compliance for both ongoing and extended infrastructure investment plans and coordinates complex investigations throughout its life cycle. Additionally, this position plays a crucial role in continuously improving the RD Submission process. Under the guidance of the Manager Investigations and Regulatory, the specialist not only maintains but also fortifies asset management connections with vital external stakeholders, such as ESCOSA and the OTR. Furthermore, the specialist actively seeks opportunities to leverage analytics and data, contributing to informed asset management decisions throughout the entire lifecycle of the assets.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
You will:
  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams of internal and external subject matter experts and service providers
  • Translate strategic objectives and customer levels of service into project requirement statements
  • Project Management
  • Develop and apply consistent processes to asset Investigations and project/output definitions
  • Delivery performance for continually improved outcomes for the customer
  • understand the WHS impact of decisions made in the investigation and definition phase
  • Continuous improvement of the RD Submission process
Your success in this role will come from:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Science or related degree
  • A strong understanding of Asset Management Principals
  • Ability to resolve conflict and differences of opinions to promote consensus among subject matter experts and internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally to all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate, influence and negotiate agreed project outcomes with multiple stakeholders in often complex situations, while working in pre-feasibility and/or feasibility phase(s) of projects
  • Ability to work autonomously, deal with ambiguity and make clear and decisive decisions to effect successful outcomes
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills is desirable
  • Diploma of Project Management and/or Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Business Management or other related areas is desirable
  • Experience preferable in Engineering, Reliability, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Risk Management or Asset Management fields is desirable
