Investment Analyst - Real Estate - Private Equity Fund

My client is an established boutique Real EstatePrivate Equity firm with a presence across the Asia Pacific region and an office in Sydney CBD. They specialise in commercial and multifamily residential properties. They have an exceptional track record of delivering superior risk-adjusted returns. Their business model includes:

• Developing strategic Real Estate investment plans.
• Identifying investments aligned with these strategies.
• Co-investing with clients to reinforce our commitment to our investment strategies.
• Managing selected investments to ensure optimal returns.

The opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Private Equity Analyst to join their dynamic team in Australia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior management on acquiring, managing, and disposing of high-value Real Estate investments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Real Estate (no Real Estate experience necessary), strong financial modelling skills (a must-have), and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Working with other team members to develop investment strategies
• Evaluating and underwriting properties for potential investment
• Completing or reviewing investment management reports on the performance of the firm’s investments
• Evaluating recommendations provided by third-party asset/property managers regarding existing investments
• Completing competitive property analysis
• Conducting site inspections
• Preparing Excel, PowerPoint and other presentation materials; and
• Attend investor meetings and prepare/present investment reports.

The successful candidate will have:

• 2-6 years experience in corporate finance, financial modelling, investment analysis, portfolio management, investment banking or similar
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. 
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
• Australian permanent resident or citizenship (visa sponsorship is not an option)
