Investment Banking Associate - High-Calibre Investment Bank - Melbourne

My client is a high-performing independent Investment Bank with an excellent reputation and client list. The team is looking to hire an experienced Associate to help them execute on a strong and diverse pipeline of deals. 

You will have a background in M&A/Corporate Finance/Investment Banking and ideally have been covering the Australian market.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Project management of transactions including direct liaison with vendors, bidders and other deal stakeholders
• A wide range of transactions, including acquisitions, divestments and capital raisings;
• Reviewing key deal documents and providing input into legal agreements;
• Reviewing valuation materials and financial models;
• Managing the due diligence process including the data room and Q&A process
• Develop and nurture analysts;

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• 3-6 years of M&A Advisory/Corporate Finance/Investment Banking experience
• Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Law or similar. A CFA, CA or similar is a bonus
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal 
• A passion for business and finance
• Strong commercial acumen and work ethic
• Experience in developing and managing Analysts
