ION MarketView Consultant (Tech BA or Developer) - Remote

Our client, a leading financial services organization in Australia, is seeking a skilled ION MarketView Consultant to join their innovative electronic trading team.

The Opportunity:

As an ION MarketView Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in collaborating with traders and support staff to enhance trading and pricing components. This role offers direct exposure to the fast-paced institutional trading environment and the chance to extend the ION platform.

Responsibilities:

• Configuration, integration, and testing of ION eTrading components
• Platform re-engineering for a stable and maintainable business platform
• Direct engagement with business stakeholders in Trading, Sales, and COO teams
• Implementation of changes and upgrades to the ION MarketView pricing and eTrading platform
• L2 Production support
• Coordination of changes with external vendors, markets, ECNs, and infrastructure teams
• ION topology tuning for a high-performance platform
• Documentation, user guides, regular demos
• User verification testing during project go-live
• End-to-end project management capabilities

Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on experience with ION MarketView
• Proficiency in MMI .NET, D2C & D2D Connectivity Gateways, TOMS, PXE, REFDATA, VMO, VMQ, Run List Manager
• Knowledge of Fixed Income trading in Rates and/or Credit businesses
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders
• Strong troubleshooting skills in a complex trading environment, including pricing and trade capture issues
• Linux experience, including Shell Scripting and Python Scripting
• Experience with source control systems, especially GIT, and Maven build & packaging
• A proactive approach to platform consistency and maintainability

Nice To Have:

• Exposure to other front-to-back treasury and capital markets applications
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting
