Our mission is to help grow and maintain sustainability of the Australian Macadamia industry with improved economies of scale.

About the Role:

We have two positions available, one based in Bucca and one based in Winfield.

Reporting to the Farm Manager you will be responsible for all irrigation related duties at our farms. Your focus will be to monitor, record and accurately supply water to maximise production across orchards. This role has the potential to go permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the programming of automated and manual irrigation systems
• Supervise the completion of soil moisture probing, manual checking and other tools to monitor and apply irrigation water
• Develop and manage the application of fertilizer through fertigation systems
• Maintaining all irrigation infrastructure, fault finding, trouble shooting
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure reliability and accuracy of the irrigation systems
• Manage the scheduling and recording all irrigation inputs/outputs, providing Farm Manager and Operations Manager with updates
• Supervise and organise staff undertaking irrigation Repairs and Maintenance duties tracking productivity and output
• Liaise with the Agronomic team regarding managing water and nutrition inputs to maximise output
• Reporting any irrigation or water problems to the Farm Manager or Operations Manager, providing proactive solutions to best manage
• Supervision and monitoring of all related irrigation works or repairs
• Coach and mentor, motivating the team to achieve organizational and team goals
• Support your team to ensure all timeframes and deadlines are achieved

Key Selection Criteria for this position:

• Experience in farm operations, specifically irrigation (automated and manual)
• Skilled in people management such as, leading, coaching and mentoring small teams
• Experience developing and or working with schedules and work plans specific to farm operations
• Experience operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment

• Physically fit
• Good verbal and written skills
• Current QLD Drivers Licence
• The ability to travel and work at different sites in line with irrigation requirements.
