About the position – Long Term Contract
We are currently looking for IT generalists/Helpdesk to work in the education sector in Victoria. We can offer flexible working hours with scope for overtime, full time or part time available. Multiple positions and locations available, rural centres (Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Gippsland) through to Metropolitan Melbourne.
Rate: $45 per hour including superannuation
Multiple opportunities across Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
About you
To be considered for this position, applicants will possess the following skills and experience:
- Taking ownership of all technical requests, from start to finish, whilst ensuring a high level of service and troubleshooting
- Participate in fault/event management/incident management/problem resolution and root cause analysis of IT systems
- Document resolution steps, and maintain support articles within the IT knowledge base
- A sound understanding of Network Infrastructure (Printers, Switches, Wireless, UPS, etc)
- Understanding and experience with Microsoft Windows Server products (Server 2003/2008/2008 R2/2012/2016/2019, WDS, WSUS, Print Services, File Services, etc)
- Understanding of Active Directory domains, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Scripting
- Excellent knowledge and experience with Windows Desktop software (Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11 and Office 2003/2007/2010/2013/2016/2019/O365, etc)
- Understanding of mobile device management (MDM) i.e., Meraki, Jamf, Apple School Manager/DEP etc.
- Working knowledge of administration of Google Apps, MS365
- Understanding and experience with iOS, iPadOS and MacOS
- Understanding of basic switching/routing (Cisco, HP, etc)
- Excellent English communication skills with both clients and members of a team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Official qualifications and certifications preferred but not essential.
Additional requirements
Successful applicants will be required to:
- Obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) card as per government requirements
- Have current Australian Residency, the right to work within Australia or be an Australian Citizen
- Hold a current Driver’s License valid in Victoria (or public transport if you prefer)
- Supply your own transport
