About the Role

Reporting to IT Business Improvement Manager this is a pivotal role within the Business IT and Alignment. As the IT Improvement Analyst you will be responsible for identifying, creating, and participating in the implementation of continuous improvements via digital enablement solutions. Critical to the role is the ability to work with the business to identify and deliver the IT continuous improvements necessary for Melbourne Water to be a more effective, efficient and customer centric business.

  • Develop and maintain detailed journey and process maps that illustrate the end-to-end customer experience across various touchpoints.
  • Work with the business and IT to develop business cases for project/program delivery of technology and digital capabilities
  • Build influential working relationships with subject matter experts from across the organisation to support the achievement of improvements.
  • Constructively challenge the status quo of procedures that are performed and inspire new thinking around optimising them digitally
  • Identify, evaluate and outline continuous improvement opportunities via the application or enhancement of digital solutions across all business areas.

About you:

  • Solid experience of working in a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Experience in developing and driving journey and process mapping.
  • Experience in progressing developing business cases with business change and process improvement
  • Proven experience in building and cultivating effective partnerships between business and technology
  • Tertiary qualification in technology or equivalent working experience
  • IIBA Certification and business process management certification is desirable
  • Track record of successful cross functional/project management and deployment leadership experience
