Between Nov 2016 and Feb 2022, Brighte has facilitated the installation of solar systems for over 110,000 households. Currently we have 1700 GWh generated by our customers each year which is saving 1 million + metric tons on C02 emissions per year!

The primary responsibility of our IT Manager is to build and lead the Technology operations team that looks after infrastructure, production support, incident/problem management, office desktop, internal enterprise platforms and security.
Help develop the strategy, manage the team, manage external vendors, deliver on the roadmap and continuously improve Brighte’s technology operations capabilities.
This role will build, operate and maintain a portfolio of internally engineered cloud solutions and external enterprise technology platforms and SaaS services that are critical to the organisation.
A snapshot of the role:
· Manage the day-to-day operations of IT systems, ensure that planning, end-user impact, change management, training, quality management are properly addressed and monitored to deliver an efficient and “customer-focussed” operation.
· Assist and maintain the Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plans for IT. Implement measures designed to safeguard the Information Technology and needs of the business in the event of major incidents or disasters.
· Manage the relationships with (and between) external suppliers and providers. Ensure contracts and service levels are negotiated in and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts.
· Lead IT audits, internal and external, as required, including in support of commercial and government contracts.
· Own Information Assurance and strengthen Brighte’s security posture to minimise cyber security risks. Ensure security is always maintained to meet legal, regulatory and business requirements.
· Manage and own a range of operational projects. End-to- end project management, work with other departments to ensure they are delivered to specification and within agreed budgets.
· Develop and maintain IT related policies.
· Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements for all applications and services.
· Manage IT Operations department budget including administration and authorisation of supplier invoices.
· Lead and manage a team of professionals including staff management, capability development and performance.
· Proven experience of operating at a senior level within an IT environment
· Experienced in operational IT management of complex infrastructure, application, and hybrid cloud environments
· Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
· Pragmatic and analytical- able to understand, integrate and assess information relating to technological issues and opportunities within a complex environment
· Ability to confidently build effective partnerships with key senior stakeholders and negotiate and influence to achieve key objectives
· Knowledgeable of emerging technology trends, and have rich expertise of IT functions and infrastructure and application architecture
· Organised and strategic with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver results in an environment of competing deadlines
· Experienced in working in financial services, fintech or other regulated industry is advantageous
