We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Operations Engineer. This role is crucial for supporting, maintaining, and securing internal and managed systems and infrastructure. As a member of the Operations Team, you will provide technical expertise to ensure the availability and security of systems meet business and customer requirements.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3/Level4 technical support for incidents, problems, and queries raised by managed services customers, resolving or escalating issues promptly in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Review and action incoming alerts from monitoring systems, assessing their severity and potential impact.
- Support and maintain production and non-production environments as per contractual obligations.
- Support environments in accordance with best practice Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) principles and standards (ISO 27001).
- Proactively analyse systems and infrastructure performance and implement recommendations for improvement.
- Degree in Information Technology or a related field with 5+ years of experience as an Operations Engineer within an IT support team
- Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux environments (Redhat Linux, LDAP, Apache/Nginx, scripting in bash, Perl, PHP, Python, SQL).
- Experience in network administration and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL certificates management, VPN, IPsec, Open VPN).
- Experience with cloud environments (preferably AWS), virtualisation and containerisation (VMware, VirtualBox), automation software (Ansible, CI/CD, Bitbucket Pipelines), and using Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira).
- Understanding of ITIL and ITSM best practices and cyber security principles (ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with Mobile Telecommunications concepts (MNO, MVNA, MVNO) is an advantage.

Successful candidates will be required to participate in on-call support rotations to ensure 24/7 availability for alert response and incident management.
