We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced IT Operations Specialist to join our team to take the lead in Technical support for our non finance information systems and Security for Guardian’s core IT systems

This role will suit an experienced IT Specialist who thrives within a busy environment. You'll have the freedom to work autonomously within a supportive team and respectful environment.
The IT Operations Specialist: Applications and Security exists primarily to deliver two core outcomes:
- Become the Technical SME and Technical support agent for core non Finance Information systems including: RAPID, AZURE and O365, Workplace (Facebook), Genesys Cloud, QikKids (and its eventual CCMS replacement); and
- Maintain, monitor and improve the security for Guardians core IT systems and prepare and present advice to Technology and Operational management on IT security related matters (leveraging third party support to deliver this where outside of core expertise).
- Owning the base platform supporting Guardian core systems, ensuring that systems resources impacting performance and cost (where demand based) are monitored and sufficient for Guardian operations
- Providing level 2 and 3 technical support to the business as required (via the Guardian Service desk system)
- Liaising with third party vendors with respect to service delivery or problem resolution
- Assisting Guardian departments and vendors as an IT project resource when required
- Providing high level workflow, integration and interfacing technical support and configuration across core systems
- Creating and maintaining operational documentation such as policies and procedures as relevant to security and core operations
- Ensuring monitoring of systems and logs to identify anomalies
- Ensuring maintenance and monitoring of Intrusion Detection Systems;
- Assisting in the development and implementation of ICT Security policies and processes across all layers (Network, Computer, and Storage)
- Raising the profile of IT security
- Maintaining current certifications where required (support will be provided where relevant)
You'll be a real team player who is solutions focused, with a ‘can do' attitude.
You’ll also have:
- Tertiary Degree in an Information and Technology discipline (Bachelor of Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar) essential.
- Experience supporting the Office 365 product suite at an Enterprise level
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure at an Enterprise level
- Experience with Intune and Configuration Manager
- Experience in supporting Security Protocols and Processes at an Enterprise level
- Hands on experience in systems integration including API connectivity via Powershell scripting
- Experience supporting and working with users of Cloud based telephony systems, with a focus on integration, work flow and automation. Genesys PureCloud is preferred, however other similar products considered.
- Experience working within Enterprise wide collaboration products: AD alignment, integration, knowledge search and workflow. Guardian utilise FaceBook Workplace, however Yammer, Slack or similar products.
- Demonstrated capability to operate as a part of a team, or by yourself when necessary
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the Organisation
- Experience in Child Care Management Systems (CCMS), with direct Technical experience with the QikKids CCMS considered favourably
- Related certifications: Security fundamental or advanced, Microsoft suite (inc Azure) highly regarded
- Network configuration and support, preferably with the CISCO and Meraki product set
- Experience working in the technical support function of a ChildCare and Early Learning business, with particular focus on the Centre based staff operational needs, associated privacy regulations and organisational requirements highly regarded
