The Solution Architect – Connectivity is a pivotal technical lead architect role, responsible for guiding LAN technology outcomes. This role collaborates with project teams, operations teams, and various business stakeholders to drive the outcomes for the LAN connectivity squad and wider Aurecon business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the long-term network connectivity strategy for Aurecon, working closely with the Domain Architect – Connectivity to develop this strategy and provide technical guidance to the team. This role is responsible for executing the LAN road map to achieve project and strategic outcomes for Aurecon.
Here are the key things you’ll do to bring ideas to life:
Provide overall technical governance for various network initiatives within Aurecon
Identify and establish best practice technical standards, practices, and policies to ensure robust and fit-for-purpose solutions for projects and initiatives
Contribute to the development of High-Level Designs (HLD) and Detailed-Level Designs (DLD) for project initiatives
Offer insights from real-world technology deployments to inform domain strategies and roadmaps
Perform build & configuration activities related to project initiatives as defined in project architecture
Act as a subject matter expert on technologies including (but not limited to), Cisco ISE, Cisco WLAN, dot1x, Zscaler ZPE, Cisco DNA Center, Cisco SD-WAN, and VMWare SD-WAN
Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation related to technical standards and services across the group
Facilitate knowledge transfer and transition of project solutions to the IT Operations team.

With experience in a similar Solution Architect role, you will need proficiency in the following:
Cisco WiFi 6 wireless deployment
Cisco ISE
dot1x
Cisco DNA Center (Also known as Cisco Catalyst Centre)
Cisco Zscaler Internet Access and Private Access
Cisco routing & switching (C9300 series)
Cisco ASAs
The following would be favourable in your application:
Experience with network automation technologies such as Python
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
A high-level understanding of project management frameworks and an Agile approach
A tertiary degree such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Networking
