The IT Support Officer position is a newly created role within an innovative Brisbane based biotechnology organisation. You will be give the opportunity to grow with company, make the role your own and be the subject matter expert for all things IT!

Our Client is a scientific organisation that is developing a world-first platform therapeutic product that allows for reliable and scalable supply of products to significantly improve survival and quality of life for patients.
You will walk into a brand new facility that in still in early stage fitouts and requires a range of IT support to commission new equipment and software. The team on site are incredibly diverse, bringing a wide range of skills and expertise to what they do. What will you be doing?
As the IT Support Officer you will work closely with the third party IT provider to ensure that all IT requirements are met and delivered on time for the team on site. Trouble shooting will be key to this role, and we are seeking someone who can utilise their expertise to minimise the need for third party support. Day to day will be quite different, ranging from new equipment/hardware setup to basic or complex trouble shooting.
Key tasks of this role include:
- Providing IT support (face to face, via telephone and remotely) throughout the business
- Assist with procurement and integration of hardware, software and vendor services
- Manage and support Microsoft 365, Mac and PC OS, and third-party applications/software
- Reduce the frequency of external IT support required through adequate triage and troubleshooting internally
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place and monitored appropriately.

Other key requirements of this role include:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT support role, ideally level 2 equivalence
- Expert knowledge of MAC and PC OS, Windows, Office365, SharePoint, networking, email filtering, and basic website management
- Knowledge of cyber security best practices
- A genuine eagerness to provide exceptional customer service whilst managing multiple priorities and requests
- Confident communicating with people at all levels of a business
- A proactive approach with active listening skills.
