AddressWe are a well-established Not-for-Profit Aged Care organisation in Brisbane and the Gold Coast areas. We are looking for a motivated and self-driven IT Support Officer with a strong commitment to supporting the organisation at all levels.
As the IT Support Officer your purpose will be working in a team and individually on a wide range of duties which include:
- Providing 1st level desktop, Server and networking support
- Responding to requests from staff over the phone, email and face to face
- Diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues
- Installing and configuring PC’s and other IT equipment
- Identifying and escalating situations requiring urgent attention
- Maintaining and supporting a large mobile workforce
Candidates applying for this job should meet the following requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Hands-on experience in workstation hardware/software, repair/troubleshooting
- Knowledge of IP networking, DHCP, DNS and general day-to-day network principles
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Understanding of Active Directory principles
- Knowledge of Mac OSX desktop
- Knowledge of iOS and Android mobile platforms
- Understanding of malicious detection software and removal methods
- Have a current Driver’s Licence and are able to travel between offices and centres in Brisbane and the Gold Coast
- Have Current National Police Certificate issued by the Australian Federal Police
- COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate
Other experience well regarded:
- Knowledge of Microsoft server products
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of IBM Domino Server and IBM Notes
- Advanced knowledge of networking including firewalls, switches, VLANs and WANs
- Exposure to programming languages such as JS, PHP and HTML
The role requires strong relationship building skills, the ability to operate in a fast moving, changing environment. You must be a good communicator both in written and verbal styles and be able to think on your feet.
