Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd is situated in Mackay Queensland and operates 2 aged care facilities comprising 240 beds across both sites. Our purpose is to provide a caring, safe and stimulating environment that supports our residents to live their later years to the fullest.

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven IT Support Officer to join our team in Mackay. This is an onsite position, providing vital IT support across all levels of the organization. Job Description:

As an IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and support of our IT infrastructure. Key duties include:

• Supporting Windows and Microsoft 365 Exchange/Teams:** Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Imaging, Deploying, and Troubleshooting Hardware:** Manage desktop and laptop hardware, including imaging, deploying, and troubleshooting associated peripherals.
• Installation and Configuration:** Assist with the installation, configuration, distribution, and management of PCs and other IT equipment, including mobile devices.
• Audio-Visual Equipment:** Set up and troubleshoot video conferencing and audio-visual equipment.
• Staff Support:** Respond to technical support requests from staff via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
• Technical Issue Resolution:** Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
• Escalation:** Identify and escalate urgent situations requiring immediate attention.

About You:

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong Communication Skills:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff.
• Technical Experience:** Hands-on experience in workstation hardware/software repair and troubleshooting.
• Networking Knowledge:** Understanding of IP networking, DHCP, DNS, and general day-to-day network principles.
• Active Directory:** Familiarity with Active Directory principles.
• Mobile Platforms:** Knowledge of iOS and Android mobile platforms.
• Microsoft Products:** Proficiency with Microsoft server products and SQL Server.
• Security:** Understanding of malicious software detection and removal methods.
• Driver’s License:** A current driver's license with the ability to travel between sites.
• National Police Certificate:** A current National Police Certificate issued by the Australian Federal Police.
• Vaccinations:** COVID-19 and Flu vaccination certificates.

Well Regarded:

Education: Tertiary qualification or diploma (or nearing completion) in information technology or equivalent discipline, or demonstrated relevant experience.
