AddressOur company is in need of a talented and focused Systems Administrator to monitor and control our computer systems.
As we are expanding, we need a strong candidate who is excited about the opportunity to manage and improve the performance of an increasingly large network. Applicants should be ready to quickly troubleshoot hardware and software problems. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to analyse system problems from a variety of angles in order to find the root cause and fix it quickly.
The successful candidate would possess great verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to learn everything about our network and numerous computer systems.
THE ROLE
Working closely with the Vice President and the recently created BI Analyst/ Developer, this position will be responsible for all Systems Maintenance and IT Project Delivery across our Australian and Auckland offices, to ensure our growing business stays on the forefront of IT systems delivery and innovation, as well as in line with global and regional IT directives from corporate.
Travelling from time to time will be required and this role will play an active part in ensuring projects are identified, assessed, justified and implemented effectively, within budget and to specified timeframes.
Key responsibilities of your role will include:
- Assessing leading edge technology for its practical application and suitability and making recommendations;
- Building, supporting and managing the overall network and sub-systems, including (but not limited to) Windows, Hyper V & VMware infrastructure;
- Monitoring, managing and resolving internal and external customer issues;
- Maintain regular housekeeping procedures, including documentation, data backups, network optimisation and storage optimisation;
- Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives that enhance the quality and efficiency of systems and services;
- Architecting, implementing and documenting projects for new ICT systems as deemed necessary by management and/ or corporate;
- Operational support of customer infrastructure; entailing incident resolution, change management, and upgrades/improvements, ensuring minimal downtime of systems to limit interruption to staff productivity.
- Oversee all network/ cyber security in line with local, regional and global protocols and directives.
- Assist is application development and system(s) role outs to all staff/ offices.
- Migration to/ from systems as required.

DESIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
At least 3-5+ years of senior level hands-on experience in the following core technologies:
- Hyper-V and VMware virtualization
- Windows Server Platforms
- Windows Infrastructure AD / DNS / DHCP / Group Policy
- O365 and Jira
- Manage Engine
- Sophos
- Backup Systems (Veeam)
- AS400 (Not essential, but will be highly regarded).
You will also be able to demonstrate knowledge of several of the following:
- Cisco Meraki & Meraki EMM.
- Networking, VPN and firewalls.
- Microsoft Teams.
- SQL Server (desirable, but not essential)
- Cyber Security fundamentals

The role will be based in our Mascot head office with an eye on our Melbourne and Auckland premises, along with any new locations opened in due course.
