Integrate provides technology planning, design and project management services for the transport industry, focussing on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Smart cities. As our project portfolio expands, we're seeking an ITS Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a small business we are flexible and adaptable and work closely as a team to complete the work required.
Role Overview:
Using your qualification and industry experience, you will deliver innovative and successful ITS and smart city projects. Your responsibilities will also include project management and business development.
Key Responsibilities may include:
- Electrical and communication designs for ITS and Smart City projects.
- Drafting feasibility studies; concept and detailed designs and strategic reports.
- Development of system specifications, designs and solutions for all modes of current and future transport.
- Project management of work packages including stakeholder management and developing project plans, schedules, registers, procurement and other documentation.
- Engagement with clients & contributing to winning work.
- Participation in the development of project tenders.
- Ensuring reports meet high quality standards.
- Using Integrate templates and ensuring documentation is filed correctly.
- Travel to client sites may be necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
- Active participation in Quality and WHS activities/requirements as required.
- Other duties as agreed and required by the business.
Knowledge and Skills:
- A minimum of 2 years working as an engineer in an ITS discipline including, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
- Electrical and communication design experience.
- Single Line Diagrams
- Communication designs
- Cable and equipment schedules
- Electrical Calculations
- Australian standards
- Project Management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams with relevant stakeholders, clients and authorities.
- Experience in establishing positive relationships with clients.
- A strong team ethic and ability to work with dynamic teams.
- Succinct and accurate report writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning and organising.
- Office and design software experience is desirable.
Software experience:
- Microsoft 365 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerPac
- Collaboration and Document Management: MS Teams, SharePoint, One Drive
- Desirable: CAD, MS Visio, Perfect Lite, AGI, Power BI, VBA/Python, PDF-Xchange
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering
- Project management qualification is highly desirable.
- RPEQ or plan to work toward CPEng/ RPEQ.
