Client Details

We are seeking candidates for the Japanese Speaking Regional Payroll Analyst for our client, a global pharmaceutical company in Mulgrave. You will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll delivery om compliance with the company and legal requirements.

A hybrid working arrangement (50% work from home) is available.

Description

Your key duties are the following but not limited to:
Facilitate and execute payroll delivery and payroll calculation in Japan and other countries.
Respond to inquiries related to payroll.
Collaborate with related departments and outsourced service providers to update all related matters regarding payroll and the system.
Work with the HR Team to ensure the service provider is achieving SLA's
Assess and review the company policies, and implement updates of compliance related to payroll operations
Keep tracking the changes regarding payroll such as wages, awards, benefits etc.
Provide analysis and report in view of payroll.
Operation improvement by developing practical implementation plans for HR Service delivery.
Liaise with payroll and benefits vendors.
Ad-hoc duties required by the manager.

Profile

In order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths:

Native level of Japanese with written and verbal skills and excellent communication skills in English
Payroll experience in Australia, or other countries
Bachelor or advanced degree in accounting or finance is highly regarded
Knowledge in Payroll, Payroll Tax and Payroll Accounting
Previous experience in working with a Shared Services environment and with a third party service provider preferred
Strong SAP Payroll experience is advantageous.
Previous experience with time and attendance systems (preferably Kronos)
Multitasking, well-organized, self-starting, highly motivated
Interpersonal communication skills, ability to meet deadlines
Project management and leadership skills are desirable
Ability to analyse situations and diagnose core issues to create solutions
