Japanese Tutor

Responsibilities

• Planning programs of study for individual students and groups.
• Preparing and presenting material on the grammar and kanji lessons.
• Instructing and demonstrating practical aspects of the language and culture.
• Assigning problems and exercises related to the student’s language level.
• Assessing students and offering advice, criticism and encouragement.
• Revising curriculum, course content, course materials and methods of instruction.
• Preparing students for JLPT and VCE examinations, performance and assessments
• Arrange visits and tours to exhibitions and performances related to Japanese culture.
• Organize events to improve student’s Japanese knowledge. 

         Skills and Experince required 

• Proficiency in Japanese: Native or near-native fluency in Japanese language, including strong skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• Teaching Experience: Previous experience in teaching Japanese as a second language preferred, with a demonstrated ability to effectively convey language concepts and facilitate learning. (at least 3 years’ experience)
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex language concepts clearly and concisely.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students, create a supportive learning environment, and effectively address individual learning needs.
• Cultural Knowledge: Deep understanding of Japanese culture, customs, and traditions to incorporate cultural insights into language instruction and enhance students' cultural competence.
• Creativity: Creativity to develop engaging and interactive lesson plans and learning activities that motivate students and promote active participation.
