Jewellery Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced retail Jewellery store manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury jewellery and a strong background in sales and customer service. As a retail Jewellery store manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company’s jewellery sales and operations. You will ensure the aesthetics of the showroom, and products as well as assist customers. You will oversee the work of other staff members to ensure that they’re meeting customer service standards and performing their jobs effectively. There will be opportunities to explore your creative side by designing custom-made pieces for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Managing daily operations such as training employees, scheduling shifts, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining relationships with suppliers
• Training new employees to meet the store’s staffing needs
• Communicating with suppliers to place orders for gems and other precious materials.
• Ensuring that all merchandise is priced accurately, appropriately labelled and displayed.
• Providing customers with product knowledge and advice on jewellery selection to help them make informed buying decisions.
• Establishing and enforcing rules and policies regarding employee conduct and store operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Administration, POS, Qreport insurance, and Website maintenance.
• Promotion and sales campaign creation and execution.
• Determining the value of gems and other precious materials using appraisal and quotation techniques.
• Managing the smooth running of the production workshop.
• Photo selection, editing and content approval for social media.
• Custom design consultations.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in the jewellery industry
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• An interest in marketing and photography
• Social media experience
