Position Title:Trainer and Assessor Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122).

Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Trainer and Assessor to join our team to expand our offerings to local people and further afield. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training and assessment to students upskilling in or looking to enter mining, construction, and agriculture. You will play a pivotal role in the mentoring of our students, ensuring they achieve the skill required to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Training: Provide high-quality training sessions both in the classroom and onsite, tailored to meet the needs of the mining, construction, and agriculture industries.
- Assessment: Conduct assessments in accordance with the principles of assessment and rules of evidence to ensure students meet competency requirements.
- Course Development: Develop and update training materials and assessment tools in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with RTO standards, including maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students, including mentoring and pastoral care, to assist them in achieving their learning goals.
- Industry Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders to stay informed of current practices and trends, and to facilitate industry placements for students.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement processes, including feedback collection and analysis, to enhance training delivery and student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110 with required updates).
- Industry Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in mining, construction, or agriculture (e.g., Certificate III or higher in a relevant field).
- Experience: Minimum of 3/4 years of industry experience in mining, construction, or agriculture.
* Experience in delivering vocational education and training in an RTO is desirable attitude effort and discipline will suffice.(Can Do Attitude)
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; proficiency in using learning management systems and other educational technologies.
- Licenses: Relevant Qualifications, Qld Assessor Licences(desirable/attainable) High Risk Work Licences and Statement of Attainments for equipment and machinery used in training (e.g., Forklift License, Heavy Vehicle License) Any personal Development done in last 5 years.
- Knowledge: Understanding of Microsoft operating systems(Windows), ASQA standards and VET Quality Framework.

- Technical Expertise: Good computer skills, Strong WHS Legislative Knowledge and verifiable practical skills and experience in either mining, construction, or agriculture.
- Teaching Skills: Passion for delivering engaging and effective training sessions that meet diverse student needs. Follow session plans and Training Assessment Stratergies
- Assessment Proficiency: Confidence and Competence in Assessment practices and principles.
- Student-Centred Approach: Commitment to supporting student progress through personalized learning and support strategies.
