• Salary circa $90K-$96K (base salary) pro-rata plus 15.4% ABC nominated Super

About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join the NSW news team as an experienced journalist to find, write and present news stories across online, social, television and radio platforms. You will be experienced at handling the high-pressure deadlines of breaking news coverage, accomplished at delivering accurate live reports on air, have excellent writing skills and be able to pitch fresh, distinctive stories that will engage Sydney's diverse communities.The role will involve:

• Researching, preparing, producing and writing stories a high standard, in line with ABC editorial policies.
• Consistently generating original story ideas and angles.
• Writing concise and accurate scripts and stories, using creative storytelling techniques.
• Working collaboratively with the NSW news team on breaking news events.
• Identify and manage editorial risks. Proactively follow newsroom and corporate policy.
• Actively engage with communities to find and tell stories that are relevant to a wide Australian audience.

About YouYou will have:

• Experience generating original stories for broadcast and/or digital news outlets.
• Proven ability to identify key talent and convince sources and contacts to participate in broadcast stories.
• Advanced experience writing and producing content for digital and/or broadcast outlets.
• Well-developed presentation skills in a live news environment.
