What will your day look like

As a Journey Expert Data Governance, you will support data management capabilities within Enterprise Finance to help transform how data is organized, managed and governed. You will work with Finance Data Governance team to roll out the Enterprise Data Governance Framework and to meet all current/future data governance requirements at ANZ.

You will support the team in establishing effective data management/governance practices across Enterprise Finance. You will also be be responsible for managing and embedding processes with adherence to EDG Framework requirements across Enterprise Finance.

Your role will require you to work in your Squad to shape and evaluate the viability and feasibility of data governance solutions, and to ensure that those solutions are delivered in a way that realises the intended value. You will work to understand the business process and to continuously improve, simplify and deliver a better experience for Enterprise Finance stakeholders.

You will also:
  • Manage and coordinate activities within the division to demonstrate adherence to ANZ Enterprise Data Governance Framework
  • Monitor and Managing Data Quality Issues Management Process and driving Data Impact Assessments for the Division
  • Raiseawareness on effective data management/governance practices across Enterprise Finance
  • Apply data risk management principles
  • Assist in preparing for regular divisional data governance forums
What will you bring?

  • An understanding of data lifecycle, data quality, common practices of controls, data protection obligations and issue management
  • Ability to walkthrough details/symptoms, identifying pain points, critical path and capture themes
  • Experience in planning, sizing and executing activities, as well as building a business case from a data perspective and selling this to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated delivery of initiatives in a timely manner and ability to navigate through ambiguous situations and opportunities
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Full understanding of ANZ’s EDG Framework is not a ‘must’
  • Having an open and adaptive mindset with curiosity to learn new things
  • Ability to flex approach based on changing requirements
  • Passion to drive with accountability and work with a delivery focus
  • Deliver a highly consultative and constructive approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Building relationship with Finance Business SMEs, Lines of Defense and Enterprise Data Governance functions
