More Chambers Pty Ltd was established in 1970 and at that time consisted of 7 practising barristers.  Over the intervening years the chambers has grown to 20 barristers today and is one of the most well respected Chambers in Brisbane.  The range of experience of our members spans some 35 years in a variety of areas of practice and we have various experts in their respective fields. We are centrally located in Brisbane’s Court precinct in Santos Place, Turbot Street.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Barristers’ Assistant. In this role, you will be the front of house for chambers and will be responsible for facilitating meetings in chambers, handling phone and email enquiries, providing diary management, and other general administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in law and gain valuable experience in a well-respected barristers’ chambers.

Responsibilities:

Managing barristers' calendars and scheduling appointments.

Answering all incoming enquiries by phone and email. 

Liaising with law firms, courts, and other legal professionals.

Dictation. 

Preparing various mediation and court documents at the barristers’ direction. 

Providing general administrative support to the chambers as a whole. 

Requirements:

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

Previous experience in a legal environment is desirable but not essential.
