About the role:
The Junior Commercial Assurance Analyst’s primary role is to support the Commercial team with administering the Commercial Assurance framework, which optimises gas and electricity revenue and cost processes for the national Alinta retail business. The role will also assist the team in other ad-hoc and project-based work to provide insights consistent with the team’s objectives and strategic plans.
In this role, you’ll be:
Assisting the team to perform Commercial Assurance processes such as control reporting and price variation events
Scoping, testing, quality assurance and validation of newly developed assurance workflows, reports, and outputs
Reviewing, updating, and improving process documentation to align with current practices
Maintaining and administering the control report schedule, including circulating control reports and providing key insights
Engaging with stakeholders from other teams to provide feedback and validation on an ongoing basis
Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:
A tertiary qualification (or currently working towards completing a tertiary qualification) in an analytical field
Intermediate proficiency in Excel, and a desire to continue the development of these skills
Experience in commercial and assurance decision making, ideally in retail electricity and gas markets is desirable
Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, Visio, Alteryx and Databricks as well as databases, including developing scripts to extract data, interpretation, and transformation of data into actionable insights is desirable
