Junior Data Scientist

You will primarily concentrate on developing and implementing data-driven models and algorithms to support strategic decision-making across the organization. Utilizing advanced statistical techniques, machine learning, and predictive analytics, you will ensure that insights derived from complex datasets are accurately integrated into business processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation, enabling New Aim to leverage data for competitive advantage.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Extract, manipulate, and interpret data from diverse sources, understanding data relationships and limitations.

• Analyze data for patterns and anomalies, providing actionable insights through written and verbal communication, including comprehensive reports for senior management.

• Develop and implement data models and algorithms for extracting insights from complex data sets, understanding dependencies.

• Design and improve predictive models for trend forecasting, supporting marketing, sales, and operations optimization.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven projects aligned with organizational goals.

• Support data integrity maintenance and contribute to developing data and analytics capabilities within the organization.

• Actively seeks process improvements for better outcomes.

What You'll Bring:

Must Haves

• Minimum of one year of experience in a data science role, demonstrating proficiency in data analysis, machine learning and model development

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

• Fluent English communication skills,both written and verbal

• Proficient in Python programming

• Skilled in SQL for data extraction and manipulation

• Strong grasp of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms

• Experience in data wrangling, visualization, and feature engineering

• Hands-on with Deep Learning techniques

• Hands-on with code management and version control tools

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and integrity

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Nice To Have:

• Hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark

• Understanding of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP

• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision (CV) projects

• Background in e-commerce or online retail industries, and/or supply chain and logistics industries

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
