Junior Electrical Estimator / Project Manager

LCS Electrical & Data (QLD) Pty Ltd - an electrical contracting firm based in Eagle Farm, Brisbane - is looking to add the services of a junior level Estimator/Project Manager to our team.

The ideal applicant will be either an electrical tradesperson or a person that posses a well developed knowledge of site conditions in the commercial office fitout sector of the electrical and data communications field along with the construction industry, generally, with a desire to "get off the tools" or a tertiary educated person in a related field.

We are a firm dedicated to servicing the needs of our client base and as such the following attributes will be considered essential for the role:

• Meet the above description.
• Be highly computer literate.
• Be well presented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret electrical specifications documentation and drawings - both electrical and architectural.
• Sound electrical knowledge regarding standards and regulations.
• Sound structured cabling system standards and regulations.
• Ability to liaise with clients end users and other trades.
• Potential to drive additional project revenue.
• Potential to further existing relationships and build new ones with clients.

Nature of the work we do:

• All aspects of general and specialty power.
• All aspects of general and specialty lighting.
• Switchboard upgrades.
• New Switchboard installations.
• C-Bus / Dynalite automated lighting.
• Certified structured cabling installations.
• Backbone cabling.
• Testing and maintenance etc.

The position will include exposure to both the estimating and project management roles along with contracts administration, working alongside our established team members.

On the job training will be provided to the successful applicant.

The desired outcome shall be promotion, whereby the successful applicant can, in time estimate, manage and deliver projects themselves.

Essentially, we are looking to appoint an applicant with an excellent work ethic with a real desire to progress in the industry.

An acceptance or previous position of salary styled hours and conditions would be desirable and is negotiable dependent on experience.
