This opening is 100 percent remote in Australia or if you prefer Hybrid you can work in either our Sydney or Melbourne Offices.

The Role:

Axe Group is looking for a passionate Junior Front End/CSS Developer to join its team. This is a great opportunity to grow and gain new skill set. 

Initially the role for the first 12 months  you will work under the direction of the Senior Front End Developer building out the Front End digital experience of Axe Group’s InsureTech SaaS platform Axelerator.

• Contribute to developing our developing our responsive Front End components to deliver a dynamic and user-friendly UX for various user types throughout the insurance lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain software UI/UX components
• Ensure consistency and best practices related to UI/UX across clients web applications
• Work as part of a software development team
• Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration
• Well-presented and good communication skills
• Dynamic and keen to develop your skills
• Self-motivated and proactive!
• 
  What you should possess
• Tertiary qualifications within Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
• Strong web development skills in HTML5 & CSS3
• Knowledge of SASS, LESS, Compass or other similar CSS pre-processing libraries
• Solid understanding of UI/UX best practices and concepts
• Knowledge of Git, BitBucket or similar source control systems and concepts
• Passion in front-end development
• 2+ years' experience in web development
• Ability to communicate well with others and willing to share skills and knowledge
• Attention to detail
• React / Javascript experience highly desirable
