Form of workWe are seeking a Safety Professional to join our clients team, the view is for this person to grow with the business to ultimately progress into their Safety Manager across 2-3 projects.
About the role:
This role involves overseeing the day-to-day health and safety requirements for a project, as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance the project's health and safety performance. On-site construction safety experience is a must-have.
About the team
You'll be an important member of the safety team, working alongside the site team to ensure safe delivery of projects. This role is diverse, giving you exposure to projects of all sizes and shapes. It also presents excellent opportunities for career development. You'll have the chance to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, and receive guidance and training from senior HSE managers.
Responsibilities include but is not limited to
- Implementing and managing safety management systems
- Ensuring effective communication and implementation of project safety management plans
- Liaising with project team members to manage subcontractors, including reviewing SWMS
- Discussing, monitoring, and assisting workers in the safe execution of on-site activities
- Providing on-site expertise and advice for all work health and safety matters
- Conducting weekly safety audits and addressing any issues
- Observing tasks to ensure safety standards are met
- Reporting and investigating incidents
- Conducting site-specific inductions
- Holding toolbox meetings
- Participating in daily pre-start meetings.
