Theatre Co-ordinator

PLC is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Theatre Co-ordinator to join our team, responsible for providing technical and audio-visual support for all school productions, shows, events and assemblies, as well as co-ordinating all aspects of the theatre facility.
As the Theatre Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all events run smoothly and efficiently, managing the technical and logistical aspects of the theatre facility, and providing support to students, staff and (on occasion) external organisations using the theatre.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical and audio-visual support for all school productions, shows, events, and assemblies, including lighting, sound, and set design and production.
- Co-ordinating all aspects of the theatre facility, including scheduling, maintenance, and repairs.
- Collaborate with teachers and students to develop and produce high-quality productions.
- Supervise and train student stage crew and technical staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the theatre facility.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in technical theatre production
- Relevant qualifications in theatre technologies, rigging, lighting, sound and AV.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software and equipment for lighting, sound, and video.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for theatre and the arts.
