We're on a roll and looking for a Junior Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team in our main HQ in Murarrie.
About the role:
Reporting to our Senior Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for creating and developing a wide range of 3D models across our multiple brands.
Your role will include a variety of design projects including 3D modeling, design evaluation, drawing/sketching, rendering, 3D printing, manufacturing investigation and much more.
You will be given the opportunity to see your product creations come to life from sketches and computer models to 3D printed samples, testing and finally mass production.
Your day may include:
- Converting briefs, written material, diagrams, graphics into 3D models
- Preparing models for 3D print and production
- Testing and evaluating functional prototypes to ensure design validation
- Preparing design specifications for mass production
- Designing new product concepts, combining form and function
Our ideal new addition will have:
- A degree in Industrial Design or similar tertiary qualification
- Highly proficiency with KeyShot and Solidworks
- Demonstrated experience in rendering and model editing
- Experience in enhancing and evaluating products for manufacturability
- Understanding of how to deliver new product designs from concept to creation
- Understanding of injection moulding manufacturing processes (an advantage)
